Description
The Maverick Scout-24 Flux in Green is the brushless version of Maverick's 1/24 scale rock crawler, and it adds the one upgrade that changes how a crawler actually drives: four-wheel steering. Steering the rear axle as well as the front transforms the turning circle on tight indoor courses and lets you place the truck precisely between rocks rather than three-point-turning around them.
A 1212 brushless motor and MSRS-BL419 2-in-1 receiver/ESC replace the brushed system, giving noticeably more torque at crawling speed – where it matters most – and lifting the top end to 25km/h (15.5mph) in high ratio. The three-position transmission carries over, so you still get a true low ratio for technical sections and a neutral for setting the truck down.
Underneath, it shares the Scout-24 shaft-driven 4WD ballraced drivetrain, multi-link suspension on oil-filled coilover shocks, triangulated chassis and impact-resistant nylon roll cage. High ground clearance and high-traction off-road tyres do the rest, and the fitted LED lights make indoor and low-light running practical.
Supplied ready-to-run with a 7.4V 360mAh Li-Ion pack and USB charger. Only four AA cells for the transmitter are needed to complete it.
